Can I book it today if I am flying this Saturday or is there a timeframe to booking ME?

Any thoughts? I am thinking of a surprise trip for just DW and I. The prices are awesome!

The wording from Disney is:

To ensure seamless service, please make your Disney's Magical Express reservation at least 30 days in advance of your arrival date.

But it doesn't hurt to ask. Call Disney's Magical Express at 866-599-0951. There won't be time to receive a packet in the mail. But if they allow you to reserve, you should be able to get your transportation vouchers at the Magical Express counter on Level 1 on Side A of the airport.

Thanks for the number, I will call them. I am fine with picking up my own luggage, as long as I can use the service.... I will see what they say.

Thanks.

I arrived in Orlando on 11/29 at 4:30 p.m., and planned to take Mears to the Dolphin. The ticket agent at Mears said there would be about a 40-minute wait for a shuttle, so I asked if I could pay to ride the Magical Express to the Yacht Club (since it's next door to the Dolphin). He said yes! So for the same one-way price as a regular Mears shuttle ($17) - I was able to walk on a ME bus, and about 10 minutes later we were on our way to WDW! My carryon was stowed under the bus, and I carried it off at the Yacht Club.

On my return to MCO on Dec. 3rd, my Mears shuttle ended up being a ME bus! My pick-up time was 6:40 a.m. However, two people who had been at a convention were still waiting for the 6:10 a.m. Mears shuttle that never arrived. They were quite unhappy that the ME stopped at the Swan and also the Boardwalk after our pick-up, and one guy was on his cellphone talking to Mears "Customer Service" almost the whole ride to the airport!

I think Mears commingles any Disney regular guests with DME guests.

Why would someone waiting for the Mears shuttle be complaining that ME (either doing normal double duty as Disney Cruise Line ground transportation or doing emergency duty as a Mears shuttle) stopped at the Swan?

Disney hints:

In the past there was a ten day advance reservation needed for ME disney bound but I believe they really accept "any" advance reservation.

Re-read the previous post. The person was picked up by a ME bus 30 minutes after their Mears reservation. My guess is they were complaining about the other stops because they were afraid of missing their flight not becuase they were picked up by a DME bus.

That's exactly right, Lewis. Plus, while the man was on the phone with Mears, he was being told that the ME bus was going directly to the airport after leaving the Dolphin - whereas it made two more stops.
