ME and last-minute flight changes

OK, I did a search and can't find this exact question answered, so here goes:

We are trying to fly stand-by on an earlier flight into MCO. Right now, we're scheduled to get in at 5pm, but our earlier flight would arrive at 11am. We won't know which flight we'll be on until the day of the flight--that is, at the last minute.

How do we handle this with ME? Should we just plan on getting different transportation? How does ME handle flight changes at the last minute?

Call 1-866-599-0951 and ask them. That is the ME direct #.

ME service by design will operate within those hours. So I'm sure you will be fine. Just call them and see what the deal is, and how this is dealt with.

I'm encountering this exact situation, scheduled for one flight but will be flying stand-by for an earlier flight. I called DME and asked them. Flying 5/7. The CM said it was no problem, to just proceed to the Welcome center whenever I actually arrive and no, if I get in earlier than on the schedule, I will NOT have to wait for my previously scheduled DME bus to get to the resort! Now, perhaps they're more flexible near the beginning of this whole thing, so many things will change. But he certainly didn't sound as if this would be any problem, hopefully it won't be for you either.

I proactively asked the question and was told it does not matter. As long as they have your flight number or know what day you are coming, they are all set and you are okay. Hope that helps.

DME busses will be scheduled and staged based on scheduled flights and the number expected on those flights. Buffers, I'm sure, are built in to account for this type of situation. If you can call DME with a late flight change, it would be helpful, to ensure you get transported with the minimum of delay.
