Me and Hubby going solo

While we're going for WDW and a convention, I may also fly down earlier to tour solo before DH comes down (his vacation days are more restricted) and I'm just starting to think about how the two of us will tour.

We've always had DS or DS and a friend or DS and grandparents etc. so this will be a real shift.

I think we'll probably sleep late, eat breakfast (hubby's favorite meal) then tour a little, go back and rest and then spend the evenings out at favorite restaurants and doing the parks etc. It will be just us like before DS was born..........

Can't wait, even with Easter crowds which we braved in 2002!

and we can't wait! We did take the kids in 1990 but they're all adults now. It's really enjoyable without them! We take our time and see and do all the things we want to see and do when we want to see and do them. We have toured the resorts; done the Keys to the Kingdom Tour (recommended); and will be doing the Segway Tour in the WS this trip. We also plan to get to PI for the first time this coming trip. Best of all, we get to relax in the resort's spa in the evening when our legs are begging for some R and R. You'll really enjoy it. Have fun!

Hubby just told me that we are going to WDW for our aniversary. We would be going solo.:hyper: . Any advice? We just went June 2004 for the first time with the boys and had a blast. I know this time would be very different because of not having the kids.

AHHHH! Gotta  those kid free trips! Just had one ourselves in October for our anniversary--stayed at the Polynesian. Got up when we wanted, went to the parks when we wanted, rode what we wanted, ate where and when we wanted (try the Yachtsman and make sure you tell them it is your anniversary!), strolled on the Boardwalk when we wanted, went to the pool when we wanted, relaxed in the hammocks on the Polynesian beach and read a book when we wanted. Had mixed drinks when we wanted. Went to a none G or PG movie, because we could!!! Spent WAY too much money!!! It was PURE PARADISE! :boat:

Well I will be the first to say that we are SO looking forward to our 15th anniversary trip!!!! It must be awesome without kids LOL. We usually go with our 15 year old 23 year old and 77 year old mom. It is an adventure to say the least!! I cannot wait to get my foot on that plane, I think I will be glowing the moment we get in the car to go to aiport!!! :cheer2:

Everyone have fun who is going enjoy your kiddy free adventure!!

Dh and I did a 4 day trip back in 99 as a scouting trip before our big family trip. This year we are doing almost 3 weeks by ourselves as a test for those retirement years. LOL We plan a laid back trip with lots of books and pool time. puckerup:

DH & I did an anniversary trip a little over a year ago. We did the Keys to the Kingdom tour. It was a lot of fun. Something we can't do with our DD's yet because they are not old enough.

My recommendation would be a tour (or two), lots of relaxing & lots of adult things.

Have a great time!

I am sooooo jealous! :worship: Lucky you!!! My husband and I have never gone solo. We are planning to however for our 15th anniversary in April of 2006. We want to stay at the Grand Floridian for 3 or 4 nights :cloud9: I hope you two have a wonderful time!

My now husband and I have been twice with out the kids. Once for our 40th bday and then on our honeymoon. It is so nice to do what you want when you want. We loved to walk the parks, split snacks ( dont miss the icecream sandwiches at Sleepy Hollow at Mk),we rode the Mouseboats, danced the night away at 8tracs, saw the HoopDeeDoo Review, ate at the Countries of Epcot, chatted with the castmembers, ate at funky resturants that the kids would never eat at, held hands strolling down Main Street, took a DVC tour, rode the boat between MGM and Epcot, danced to the "Beatles" in England :rockband: , did every E night possible, and sang on the busses

Relax and enjoy...I did call home to make sure everything was OK... and we are taking the kids remaining home on a Big 2006 Disney Extravanganza Trip!!!
Second Anniversary /13th bday trip
