I have read the sticky and done a search, but I am still on dial-up, so have some mercy :rotfl:

I don't know who to be more upset with, myself, or my TA. After all my board reading, you would think I wouldn't have missed a thing -- but yes, you guessed it, no ME reservation. I thought my TA would have had this covered -- but anyway :confused3

I realize I am not at a total loss, and can still proceed by either picking up my own luggage, or giving over my claim tickets to a CM type.

So here are my questions:
How much time is lost picking up your own luggage?
If we do that, do we get to take it off the bus with us when we get to the resort, or do they still deliver at a later time?
Also, they said my TA has to still make the reservation. Will they even take a reservation at this point?
I am so bummed :sad2:

If you choose to bring your baggage on board the DME bus going to Disney, you get the baggage back right away upon arrival at the resort. Please tip the driver and also any bellhops who store the baggage or take it to your room.

If you let DME transport the baggage, the baggage goes on a separate vehicle (a truck) and you do not need to wait up in your room to tip the bellhop.

Your travel agent should make the DME reservation as well as the rest of the reservations. If the TA has difficulty, contact him again about 1-1/2 months before departure.

weather you get your bags yourself or not you still need to make a DME ressie in advance. DME does not take walk ups.

Call your TA and have them book it.

Looks like you're headed out this month. So, call your TA...they should call DME and make the arrangements for you. It's quick and painless. Then, since you won't have time to get the luggage tags, plan on heading to baggage claim to grab your own bags. Head down one level to the DME checkin desk. Your bags will go underneath the bus and you'll have them when you get into your room. You do have to plan on a tip for the driver though.
If your TA can't (won't) call for you then I guess you'll have to talk to DME yourself. But, I can't imagine any reason your TA would have for not calling.

Thanks everyone for your help and encouragement! :goodvibes
My TA supposedly made a reservation and Faxed something to my husband's work. When he read it to me over the phone, it just sounded like a confirmation that ME is free. I think I threw her off when I refused the ground transfers on my Land/Sea, although I made it clear (back in June) that we planned to used ME.

Anyway -- I called ME myself, and the nice lady made a reservation for me. She said she didn't see one, but said it may have been made through the cruise division.

We leave a week from today
But luggage tags won't make it :guilty:
After all I have learned from you wonderful people, I will never book a package together again -- or use a TA.

Thanks for all your help! :grouphug:
