Just wondering what would be nice to do with my 3 yo besides DW? We've been to DW twice.
I was thinking maybe Islands of Adventure?
She likes Dora, Hanny Manny and pretty much all things on disney playhouse.
Just wondering if we should do disney again or try something different?
We've also been to Sea World.
Thanks for any help.

Definatly NOT Islands of Adventure in my opinion. We went last year and my son was 4. Too short to ride almost everything except Spiderman and Seusse Landing. That theme park to me is more for 10 and up! I'll return when he is a bit older. He was 40" tall and there really was not a lot for him to do. SO he was sad the entire day becasue he would want to ride something, but we kept saying when your a bit taller. Poor guy, I wanted to stuff napkins in his shoes to get him to atleast the 42" mark. (Can you imageing 2" worth of napkins in your shoes!) :rotfl: :rotfl:

I was going to suggest Sea World, they re-did the Shamu show it is now called Believe. What about doing Discovery Cove?

When my youngest was two, we went to Mall of America. He just lOVED camp snoopy there. It is a small park, but very well done, and he got to ride many many rides, and see Snoopy!

Any trip would probably be great fun for your daughter. The ocean, the mountains, anything new a different. The world is a very big place.

But, perhaps, after rereading.. you want something in Orlando, and for that I have no suggestions. :(

If you are set on Orlando, I would strongly advise against IOA. As the previous poster said really not much at all for a 3 year old. Now in Universal there are a few more options- so if you have your heart set on something different you could buy that park hopper pass and hit both parks on the same day(they are in walking distance and if you stay at one of the universal hotels you get front of the line access on all rides- so easy to do both parks in one day) I think though that you could widen your choices- do you have to go to Florida? Where are you now? Would you fly? more info please....

Yeah, dont do Islands of Adventure. It's mostly fast, "rollercoaster" type rides. She would only be able to participate in Seuss Landing.

I would do Universal. We took my DD there when she was 21 months and she loved it. She was ecstatic when she got to meet Dora the Explorer.

There is also a really cool place in the area called Green Meadows Farm. It is SO COOL! My DD LOVED it! You can touch and pick up the animals.....you really get to interact with them. Included in the price is a tour, you get to milk a cow, you get a pony ride, a hayride, etc. It is tons of fun, especailly for a kid.

I am not sure where you live, but in Langhorne, Pennsylvania there is Sesame place. It is a Sesame Street themed park for the pre-school and elementary school set. It is mostly a water park, so it is better saved for the warmer months, but it also has a few non water rides and lots of Sesame Street themed shows.

Wisconsin Dells is one of our favorites, summer months. But it's only a 3 hr drive for us. There is a cool hotel my in-laws are going to in Myrtle Beach called the SeaMist which has a water park, an amusement park, and is on the beach, and Ft. Myers beach has great shelling. In Orlando though, besides Disney, I dont' know. We enjoyed Universal but that was before our dd was born.

I always laugh when folks say they take little kids to UO or IOA. IOA is almost all coasters, and UO has a LOT of scary stuff like Jaws and Twister. The reason I laugh is because people think WDW is scary, the rides are too dark and noisy, ect. My kids have never been scared at WDW, but UO, well, that would be another story. I think both of those parks are for at least pre-teens and up. There are so many wonderful things to do and see in this country, I would go somewhere else!
Also, has she seen the movies the rides depict at UO? Mine did not see any of those movies until they were much older, so I doubt they would "get" the rides even if they were not scared. There are a few things for younger kids to do, but not much!
