MDW Parking Alternatives?

I love the new parking garage at Midway, but for a 10 day trip, it's EXPENSIVE!
Anyone know of good alternatives? THANKS!

This might not cost less, but you could check Park/Sleep/Fly alternatives. This will put you at a hotel near MDW where you can sleep, leave your car and take a shuttle to the airport. If you have an early flight and are coming from South Bend, you might want to avoid an early wake up and stay near the airport. If I recall, a one night stay with 10 days of parking might cost about $140, but you are getting a hotel night in addition to the cost.

On another note, there are some off site parking areas near Midway that cost about $7.50 per day.

for a 10 day trip you may want to check into using a town car service.

at Midway I use this lot, no shuttle, right across the street from the orange line on 59th. with the coupon in the link it's $9.00 a day

We use Park Fly Ride at Midway, we use them at Detroit also. I hated waiting for the bus to come at Midway, dragging my stuff over the gravel to the bus stop and looking for an open spot. Then trying to remember do we need to take the green bus or the blue bus back?????

I'm checking the rates for our Easter trip and for 7 days ,I came up with 57 for the week. The park and fly hotels are not that cheap. They are going for about $140. I also looked at taking a cab and the best rate seems to be the parking rate at this tme.

Where did you find that rate? Sounds great.

Recheck your rates - Parking rates are going up effective Monday - not sure if is city run lots or city tax that is causing the increase.

It is the lots in the city of chicago that are increasing their rates, but most of these lots are not in the city limits. I looked at so many web sites but they want you to put a deposit down to get their rates. Try "aboutairportparking.com" Midway parksaver will email you a coupon for $9 a day all fees and tax included.

and found americas best value inn to be the cheapest. OF course I believe you are sacrificing gated.

I have been using Park Ride Fly USA for years. They are about two miles north of Midway and have a secure lot. I have never had any issues leaving my car there. When you enter the shuttle will meet you where you park then take you to departures. When you return from your trip you just call them and they will pick you up and drop you at your car. This is so much nicer than waiting for a random shuttle like you will find at other lots. If you sign up at their website they usually will send 10% off coupons and they do have a frequent user program to earn free days..

I live one mile from MDW....if you are familiar with the area, there used to be a wonder bread / hostess thrift store on 55th street, west of Central and just west of the train tracks on the north side of 55th Street.

This is now a parking GARAGE...yes GARAGE. I just past it up 2 hours ago. its $9.50 to keep your car garaged.

I first thought to myself...thats a great deal. I am sure they provided shuttle services to and from.

We spent the night at the Sleep Inn and left the car there. They have a Park and Fly rate as do many of the hotels.

a couple of weeks ago I was able to get a groupon for a limo ride. It has a value of $59 but we only paid $25. This will work out perectly for our next trip out of midway. No stress just leave the driving to someone else.
