I've not been on here for ages and I'm sure this will have been discussed a lot whilst I've been away.

We are off to The World in 366 days (not that I'm counting;)) travelling as part of a package with Virgin. I've managed to link my MDE to the Virgin reference number but had trouble with my youngest DS who is currently under 18 although at the time of travel he will be 18 and I couldn't marry the reservation for him to my Family and Friends list so had to over-ride it!

As I've purchased my park tickets from Virgin as part of the package I'm unable to personalise our Magic Bands as I don't have the 12 digit ref.
Can anyone enlighten me as to when I can reasonably expect to get this so that I can plough on with my planning....I've only got another 366 days to do it !!!!:rotfl2:

I believe you're not the only person with that problem on here. I can forsee Virgin and the other package companies losing a lot of customers if they don't come up with some way to get people their 12 digit number. Hoping someone has the answer for you

We fly out in a Virgin package in 71 days - (who's counting eh!!) We got our 12 digit Disney number at about 200 days out via the Virgin concierge (who are very helpful) and then you can customise magic bands, make ADR's (at 180 days) and then we got our tickets linked at about 85 days, so you can then do fastpass at 60 days (if staying on site).

Ditto use concierge. Virgin holidays call centre havent a clue

It was the Concierge service I spoke to, who I've always found really helpful, but not in this instance. They suggested I got back to them 60 days out and they might be able to give me the number then!

The fact that you have been able to set up with the virgin ref means you have linked your booking. We are booked as TC package and didn't need any other ref except for the TC booking ref. I actually think it's too early to be able to customerise your magic bands....not sure how many days but when we booked in January I'm pretty sure it was maybe 6 months out before I could do that, i just remember not being able to do it immediately.

You don't need your park tickets to be able to customerise your magic bands. I bought our park passes but didn't add them until ages after customerising my bands.

Hope that's useful. Happy planning :)
