MDE with a cast member friend's family passes

Going out with a group of friends to DW in a few months. It's a very short trip (3 days) and we've got a friend there that's a long time cast member who was going to use his friend and family passes for one of the others and himself.

However - I'm the Designated Disney Planner.

We're staying on-site so I'd like to make use of the 60 day FP+ - I've read on the internet that it's possible for the CM to setup FP+ for their ticket allotment on their MDE if they're on a trip MDE.

I'm wondering if it's possible for me to add my friend to my MDE and then setup the FP+ for the both of them.

Has anyone else gone through this and is it actually possible?

Have your friend invite your MDE to link to his MDE. His MDE will then share the 60-day window when he books FPs for the grouping that includes an onsite person.

Only the CM can access FPs for his Guest Passes and the booking has to be done through the CM's MDE.
