in my MDE i have two guests in my family & friends list that i am trying to remove. it comes up that they have an active admission or plans so they cannot be removed. however, there are no tickets linked and they are not on any of my reservations. our MDE's are not linked. is there anything i can do online or does this warrant a call to IT

They likely have a magic band that is still active. This happened when I tried to remove one person. Since I was in charge of her, I just deactivated her magic band and then I was able to go back and remove her.

I have the same issue as OP... and I did what you said and it still won’t work for me

Same thing happening to me as well! Our last trip was in 2016 so I have no idea why it would still be active.

double checked. their bands are inactive. still not able to remove. guess i'll call. thanks everyone

MDE won't let you remove anyone that you've ever had any plans with, past or current doesn't matter.
You have to call and ask IT to do it. I just don't bother

I've twice had family linked for making plans (just got back from a trip where I made all the plans for us and family) and have both times removed them on my own. It may be different if the accounts were created by the person trying to remove them?

You have been the only person to report being able to remove someone from a MDE account. You should feel special to have an unique account

Not sure what that means but I own my MDE account, created the account and added some people to go with me and the people I want to remove have no other MDE account and do not exist on any other MDE account. This is what is reported over and over again here

To be clear, not talking about removing linked guests (those that there via a link and exist on a different MDE account, either their own or another). Just those who are only listed on my friends and family list.

That’s funny, maybe it’s because she does not have an MDE account of her own, only went one time, isn’t on anyone else’s friends list, etc. etc.

I added 4 people to my friends and family list for our november trip and when they decided to cancel, I removed them myself.

Think the difference is when they do go on the trip. Prior to that you can remove them but once you've had any plans together, FP, resort stay, etc you can't

Matter of fact before this latest update the message used to pop up and say something about past plans together are preventing you from removing this guest

Yes exactly. Not a linked account. No other account of any sort. If someone has an account yes it's easy to do. I assume it's because they have an account for their data to go to, so to speak. I've removed those types many times. It's guests without a linked account that I, and OP are taking about

I've just tried to remove someone from my account. She was added by me to my account as she was going to be travelling with us in December. We cancelled that trip a couple of months prior to travelling prior to making any payment other than deposit. So she has never been, never held a ticket or a magic band. The remaining 5 of us on my account are booked to travel in June. It will not allow me to remove her and gives the me message 'Guest cannot be removed. Because Rebecca has active admission or plans, they cannot be removed at this time.'

Yep, it's pretty annoying. I have 13 people on my MDE account because the in-laws took us on a trip with the aunts/uncles/cousins. Our next trip was just DH and I. Rather irritating to have to scroll through that entire list.
