MDE requiring password update

I couldn't find anything less than a year old on this. I can get into my DVC account, but when I try to go to MDE either through the WDW website or DVC website, I'm being required to change my password. I don't want to because I have the same one for all of my many Disney accounts. I have a trip in two weeks and now can't even access my plans unless I change my password. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a work around to avoid having to change it?
 
I'm seeing this on the ThemeParks page. In my experience, and in reading of many other peoples' experiences over the last 2+ years, this means they are working on the site. Don't do anything. It's not necessary. It's just one of their utterly bizarre and wonky "error" type messages that come up when they are at a certain point of changing things on their end.

Just wait until tomorrow. It will very likely not have that "requirement".
 
I did not have the problem yesterday but I am having same issue as you today. DD's MDE site not having this issue. Go figure. I am just doing a wait and see. We also are 2 weeks out.
 

Leaving in two days. MDE asked me to answer 2 security questions. When I did, none of my info was showing. I called tech support. She said they did an upgrade Tuesday which is causing the issues. She said it opened a new account. She was able to fix it in a couple of minutes and all my plans now show again. Call if you have a problem. I wouldn't recommend re-linking your info. I printed everything out in case there is another problem. Didn't need this today! ;)
 
I am getting the same thing. I dont see a number to call. I just get that an error occurred as if there is something missing, but I can see anything to know if something is missing (but it isnt).

I will wait a day and then track down a number to call them if it continues

Disney did an update to their security requirements. Your password has to be at least a certain length and contain a combo of characters. If your password doesn't meet the requirements you have to pick a new one. If you used the same email address on all of your Disney accounts, the change will apply to all accounts.

I just changed ours from the MDE site and it updated our DVC password.

That hasn't applied to my accounts. Same old shorter password.
