MDE questions... making ADR's/FP for someone not on our room reservation.

I've used MDE many times for making ADR's and FP, so I'm very familiar with how it works. But on this next trip myself, DH, DD and DS have our room reservation and then my mom is checking in a few days later and she has own room reservation. In my MDE account I do have my mom listed under the "family and friends list". So I'm assuming that when I go to make our ADR's and FP that it will allow me to include my mom in those plans, even though she is NOT listed on our room reservation, is that correct?

My other question... after my family checks out, my mom plans to stay a couple more nights by herself. For any ADR's or FP that she wants for just her on those last days, she needs to make those from her own MDE account, correct?

I've never done ADRs but did book FP for a holiday trip. I was able to book for another family linked up to me staying at another resort, checking in a day later with no problem. Their park hopper/stay didn't exceed mine but I would assume it would have been no problem getting FPs for them if their park tickets did not exceed their resort stay.

You should definitely be able to include your mom on your ADRs and FPs, as long as ONE of you from that room reservation is listed on the FP. We have added people staying at non-Disney resorts to our FPs before, just earlier this month actually.

Yes I would assume any ADRs your mom wants to make beyond your family checkout she can do, although I imagine if she is listed as one of your friends in MDE and as long as she still has a valid ticket you could certainly make ADRs or FPs for her under your account.

I know for the dining, all you need is the number of guests and a name for the reservation to be under (at least that's what guest services told me in an email).

Does your Mom have separately linked tickets? If so, you can book FPs for her without any problems.

If your Mom has a package, the FP system may not allow you to book for her when your window opens.

Other DISers have been reporting that ‘package’ guests with a later check-in date have not been able to partake in the earlier FP window that opens for the early-arriving guests.

Both our reservations are made with DVC points, so our park tickets will be added separately to our MDE accounts. thanks!

You will be able to make her FP when you make yours even though her stay is a few days later. This happened to us last year, my MIL was coming 4 days after us and I thought I would have to get her FP separately on her 60 days out but was so happy when hers opened when ours did! Not sure about her making FP for days beyond your reservation, though.
