I am feeling out of my element today as I usually have all my own plans and reservations. However my parents are coming on this trip and the agent made the room reservations under separate names. It seems okay as I can manage their plans on my MDE. I don't think though that I can check them into their resort. I am constantly getting an error. They don't have their own MDE account, but should I make them one? Would the FPs and such I have made carry over or be affected? Sorry, I'm new to managing any friends & family with their own rooms. Thanks.

Interested in this as I have the same issue. Have everything booked via my account but can’t check in my other reservation.

I had the same problem 2 weeks ago. I did online check in for one room, on which my name appeared, but could not do the other room (which I was not a guest on). I had put a request for connecting or nearby rooms, and I was very concerned that by one being already checked in online and the other having to wait to be checked into until we arrived at BC, it would be a mess. But alas, we went to GS at BC upon arrival, easily checked into the second room, and they were connecting rooms! No issues. The only thing that we didn’t plan for was that only guests listed on each room could use their magic band to open that room. That seems obvious, but it made it difficult when we had the kids going between the two rooms and sometimes their band didn’t work because it wasn’t “their’ room. I’m sure GS could have altered this, but we didn’t want to waste time doing it, so we just left the connnecting door open at all times so you could get into either room from either room.

I was managing both room reservations on MDE, no one else on either room has a MDE account. I did all of the FPs for all. I had no issues with it set up this way, and I think had a set up another MDE account for my parents who were in the other room, I could have then done online check in for them without messing up anything, but I didn’t want to try it.

In the future, I will see if I can book myself on both rooms, but this time, it would have resulted in an extra adult guest fee on one of the rooms, as we had 4 adults and 2 kids and 2 rooms. If you have more than 2 adults per room at BC, you have to pay an extra per night fee for the 3rd adult. So if I listed myself on both rooms, it would have been a problem from that perspective.
