mde package refundable?

I booked a disney package (hotel and tickets) through MDE and afterwards it shows up as just hotel. I was exploring hotel only prices at one point, so was wondering if I booked wrong or is it normal for packages to show up only as hotel. I only got charged a deposit for a hotel. I was going to add tickets to the booking now but it says tickets are not refundable. I thought packages were refundable, so maybe I am mistaken about that, or maybe I wasn't looking at packages after all? I waited on hold for 30 minutes to ask this question and gave up.

If I add tickets later will the price go up or are ticket prices set in stone? I want to only do somethign refundable right now, because flights are not yet available for Jetblue. So I may need to change dates. But I guess that the worst case scenario is I change dates and pay the difference on ticket prices?

Huh? I am having a really hard time understanding your question. Hotel only shows up under the hotel no matter what you book
Did you pay $200 or a single nights deposit?
If it's $200, you booked a package
If it's a single nights deposit, you booked room only.

Packages are refundable if you cancel within the time limits. I think that's 30 days.

As AngiTN states, if you paid one night's deposit, then you only booked a hotel room. If you paid $200, you booked a package with hotel room and tickets. If you intended to book a package, I would either cancel your room reservation online and then re-book a package with room and tickets or call WDW and have them do this for you.

Your pricing is only set in stone, for your travel dates, when you make a deposit, so if you would like to lock in today's ticket prices without outright purchasing non-refundable tickets, you need to book a room/ticket package. If you make any changes to your reservation, you will be subject to prevailing rates, so, yes, if ticket or hotel prices go up in the meantime, you may be paying higher prices.

Sometimes the MDE shows Hotel only and doesn't show the tickets, I guess it's a glitch, but still worrisome. I've experienced the same thing, just go back to your original purchase email or call Disney if you are concerned. And yes, you can cancel for a full refund up to 30 days out on packages and you have until then to pay off your vacation. You can also contact Disney and modify your vacation if they offer a better deal during your planned arrival dates. So let's say you have a package booked for May and in January Disney offers free dining. You can call Disney and they will always try and find you the best deal possible.
Call Disney, I promise the cast members won't bite! ha

This same thing happened to me. I was looking
at packages, chose park hoppers and by the time I realized my mistake I was paying one nights deposit. You can still add tickets and turn it into a package by calling or just add and pay for tickets to your room only reservation. If your dates change you can either modify them online or call to have them changes if availability exists.

Ok I paid 1 nights deposit, so looks like something went wrong. When I go to add tickets it says its non refundable, so I will cancel the reservation and redo as package. Thanks for the help!

One wierd thing I did was get tickets for less days than I am staying there. Wonder if that isn't possible on package. LEt me try.
