MDE not off to good start

Wow. Only some of my reservations are coming up. Not off to a good start.
 
When I log in on the website on my ipad, all my ressies, FP etc ate there. But nothing shows up when I log into the app (Android) on my phone, even though it's the same account. I tried uninstalling and re-installing and that didn't work.

I also tried to log into the website from work the other day and it wouldn't work. I just want to figure out the phone app before I leave in two weeks.

I do have an issue with the website tho.
 

Mine come and go. I log in using my main computer.

One day everything is there, 2 days later only some of it shows, day after rest of them pop back up.

I just started making FP+ ressies so who knows what will happen with those. Probably more of the same.

I haven't even looked at anything on the app yet and we go in 26 days so I guess I'd better check that out. I figure I'll just bring a printout of everything once I'm done planning.

I told my DS18 that when he is done with college and graduates with a software engineering degree that he should try to get a job with Disney and straighten out their mess of MDE, FP+ and disney store shopping websites.
He said No Thanks. LOL
 
I actually had the best results with the website. I accessed it on my iPad, but did not use the app. This is where I made my reservations, and then I took screenshots of them all. My friend who was coming with us had to copy her reservations to her daughter and the app on her phone did not work well, so she signed into her MDE on my pad and was able to copy them then. I looked at the app on my phone once or twice, but did not use it much.
 
I have a split stay, but neither reservation showed up when we arrived. It was there last night :confused3 The first one was in the computer upon check in. I called DVC to move my second reservation...hoping for a last minute cancellation. Little did I know, the system cancelled MY reservation ! :scared1: Disney had to upgrade our room...nothing else was available. It was a nice gesture, but I spent over an hour on the phone in EPCOT to get it fixed. Of course, it ate my battery, so no access to my FP ressies. :rolleyes: I had to come back to the room t charge my phone.

Oh, the front desk was really sweet. They sent cupcakes to the room....nice surprise. :goodvibes
 
Just tried to tweak my FP ..:(. Disney CANCELLED ALL of my ressies when they cancelled the 2nd part of my vacation. I am NOT happy pirate:

I am so sorry to hear this! I hope you get even better FP times and some more pixie dust!
 
I think MDE is improving. The few issues we encountered during our stay in March were non-issues during our stay this weekend.

I did book a bounceback stay before we left WL this morning, and I had to manually link the reservation to MDE. I ended up having to call Guest Services to correct a misspelling of my DH's name, since two letters were transposed when they booked the stay. Other than that, though, no problem!

When things go wrong, it can be very frustrating. Fortunately, most things can be easily corrected. :thumbsup2

The good news is that Disney could see my ressies, except for one day. The bad news....I couldn't view them via MDE. GS printed a copy and informed me...it happens (basically the app sucks!) I went back to the hotel and stopped at concierge. How can I tweak my plans, if I can't see them? Ah, I can got to a kiosk to retrieve them. (Why is my head on fire?) :headache:

This trip was even stressful, throughout the planning stages ...AND I'm a planner! :tilt:

What kind of phone do you have? Anyone else in your party with a different phone? Maybe you can try loading the app on their phone with your username and password for the MDE app and it might show up then?

We all have iPhones.

And for this reason I have no intention of scheduling a FP+ for 7DMT. We will take our chances and try ride standby at some point, perhaps during EMH. It's not that I don't want to ride it. I'm just so done with planning and replanning every move we make and having to start from scratch again every time something changes or a new announcement is made.

OP, I'm glad they sorted out the issues for you. We have a split stay too, and after hours on the phone sorting out issues with my MDE account, I opened a new account with a different email address and put our second reservation on there with no links to the other one. Skeptical, perhaps, but I don't have the level of faith Disney might like me to, in this new app at this stage. The track record is not great just yet.

Are they all running the same operating system (iOS 7, for example?). I recall posts on here where people said that they had trouble with the app using different versions of op systems, I think the older ones, older than iOS 7.

All phones are 7 I also brought me iPad. It's not just the app I have the same issue going directly to the website.

I haven't asked for, nor received anything (other than cupcakes). I just wanted to use the FP, that I reserved and the ability to see them. Oh, and our other ressies too. I believe, that's reasonable.
