MDE help...

Hi! I hope I'm posting this in the right place! My boyfriend has suddenly changed his mind and wants to be involved in the little bit of planning we have left (like 6 months too late ), and now wants to join MDE and see the plans/everything. He also wants this as a back up in case we have issues with mine.

My question is, since we are basically three weeks out, and have received our Magic Bands... is it even still possible to link him to a real person? Or will that mess everything up? "Fake" Paul has park tickets, hotel stay, FP+, restaurant reservations, etc.. so I'm thinking it's not really worth the hassle but at the same time
I'm really excited he wants to be involved. ‍

In MDE, under My friends and family, you can go to his record and choose "update". From there click "invite to connect". After some confirmation process, he should be able to see everything and add/alter plans.

Another option that is simpler would be to give him your account info (email, password) and then y'all could just both plan from your account.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but your boyfriend can be added to your MDE account as part of your group, which includes linking his MB. Just give him the account info and he can log into MDE using the same account as you and see everything, make changes, etc...

That's a wonderful I idea in theory, but when we both tried to log in it logs one us out. Which is probably more a less a glitch with our account, but I'm not sure.

If he creates his own account and you invite him then it should properly link them. Helped a family member do this a few weeks before their trip and they didn't have any problems.

My husband and I just use one account, he goes on it from his phone, I use it from the laptop or my phone. We use the same email/password combination.

My daughter opened an account and I tried to invite her but it does not work. Everything stays as pending.

Your daughter has to Accept your invitation that is sent to her email account.

After she accepts, then you receive an MDE email notice for the final steps.

Does "fake Paul" have same name as "real Paul"? If so, then follow directions from previous posts to have him create an MDE then update and invite him to join. I added people in my MDE before they had their own accounts. Then when they signed up for an account we were able to link them with their information that was originally only in my MDE.

Semi OT, is it necessary for everyone to have an MDE account? I have the whole family in my account and I don't expect my son & his family to be going down again in the near or even the far future. I give them regular updates on our plans and we all have input on the trip. Any reason they NEED an account?

The very best thing to do in your case is:
1 MDE Account
List all Family Members
