MDE Help -Linking Tickets with 2 trips

I'm not sure what to do with MDE and linking tickets. I know how to link the tickets, but here's my dilemma.

We have 2 upcoming trips. In just a little over a month we are going and staying at Bonnet Creek. We have old MBs from a previous trip that we would want to use for that trip (instead of having to buy them), and it's almost time to make FP+ reservations.

We also have a trip in February of next year that is already linked to our account. If I link the tickets, will the system automatically link them to the MBs "on hold" for that trip? I haven't tried to do anything yet because I'm so worried I'm going to mess something up for our October trip. This is only the second time we have gone since MBs were in place, so it's still pretty new to us despite the fact that we have been to WDW many many times in the past.

Am I fine to link the tickets? Are the MBs from our last trip still in the system somewhere and considered active?

Nothing is directly linked to (or stored on) MagicBands. Everything is linked to MDE profiles. This includes MagicBands, room reservations, park admission, etc. Any and all MagicBands that are linked to a MDE profile have access to the same benefits & entitlements (i.e. tickets) that are also linked to the same MDE profile.
