MDE friends and family lists

My apologies, I wasn't quite sure which forum this should go in!

I am planning a trip with my sister in law and her kids. At the moment, we only have room reservations (adding tickets later). I am connect with her in MDE. She has been able to connect with me and my family. I can only seem to "see" her though and not her kids, even though they are listed on her reservation. I'm handling the logistics of dining reservations, FP, etc. Any idea why I can't seem to connect with my niece and nephew? Is it because they currently don't have park tickets?

You have to add each child through the linking/email process. Just adding your sister doesn’t add her complete list of people.

I haven’t been able to do that since the kids don’t have email addresses (they are just managed by her). For some reason, I’m not seeing the kids under “find through connected guests” which is how I usually connect and send invites to the kids in our traveling party.

Ive done it. Just send the invite to each child using your sisters email address. She will accept each one and it will show up. Recently did this.

Go to your Friends & Family List, then Add a Guest, then Find Through My Connected Guests. Do they show up there? If so, select each one and invite.

If they don’t show up there, make sure your sister in law doesn’t have her F&F list set to private. She’ll need to go into her F&F list on her MDE and scroll down to the bottom. She should select “share my F&F list.”

If you STILL can’t see them (I’ve had trouble with Connected Guests showing up in the past), and if they have a room reservation, try finding the kids that way. Go to Add a Guest, then select Import from a Walt Disney World Resort Reservation ( I swear I have done this on the MDE app before, but today I’m only seeing that option on the website). Enter the family’s last name and confirmation number, and you should be able to find a list of the family and invite each of them.

THANK YOU! I've been using her log in and made sure that her F&F was shared and not private, that everyone was entered properly, etc. I was only finally able to get it to work by going back to my MDE and connecting using her her resort reservation for the 2nd half of her split stay. It must have been a strange MDE glitch (I know, SHOCKING!). For fun, I only had the option to do this from my laptop, not the app. Heaven forbid these things work across platforms!
