MDE for my kid

I have an MDE account, and years ago I added my kids as family members whose plans I control. (I think the proper way of describing this is to say that I created profiles for them in my account.) One of my kids has a trip coming up with his high school group, and I am serving as a chaperone. I would like to have my kid download MDE on his phone, so that he can have more independence and use his own phone for mobile dining ordering, etc. I already linked his ticket and his hotel to my account on my phone, as I plan to buy Genie+ for us, and to book LL rides for us. When he downloads MDE, would he have to log in with my MDE account, or would he be able to create his own account and somehow indicate that he is the same person who has a profile (with linked hotel and ticket) on my account? For reasons that are kind of complicated, I would prefer it if he had his own account, with his ticket and hotel linked. But I don't know if that can work, given that the ticket and hotel are already linked to my account. Any help would be appreciated!

You can send a link via the ‘friends and family” with his email, and he can accept the “share plans” option. I did it with my husband. Then you can control/book things but he can see it and utilize some of it (like Genie plus or dining) on his own.

If you have already linked his ticket to the profile for him that is in your MDE account, I would recommend that you just have him log into your MDE account on his phone. Less opportunity for technical difficulties that way.

DH uses my account all the time on his phone. He doesn't want his own account.

My partner is the same way. He's quite happy to have me manage both of us and he just logs into the account on his phone to check things out.
