MDE Experts- Need Help!

Trying to help a friend, any insight would be super.
She has a trip booked for herself, husband, two kids.
Husband shows up on reservation for hotel, tickets, and she ordered him a magic band. Great.
He is *not* showing up under "magic bands you manage* which leads me to believe he had his own MDE account at some point (my daughter does not show up here on mine because she has her own MDE account).
BUT
He also doesn't show up under "my friends and family" which he needs to to be able to book G+ and ILL, correct?
And if she made the reservation, how would it automatically link him in without adding him to this list even if he does have his own account? Everyone on my reservation shows up on mine.
Is there any easy solution if he has his own account to link him in and have it meet up with his tickets etc? Or is she out of luck and needs to call to sort it out?

That's weird. He should show up under F & F even if he has his own account. She's probably going to have to call to sort it out. Have her call 1-800-848-6413.

Linking people to your My Disney Experience account has always been hit or miss. It works for some but not others. The easiest thing to do is gather all of the parties together in the same room and call Disney. They will link you together.

We had similar issues when planning a prior trip. Some features worked for some of us but others didn't even though we had setup MDE the same way. Rather then wasting hours with the 'try this/try that' approach, we just called Disney and the phone person was able to fix whatever was wrong. They weren't really sure why it didn't work correctly, but apparently they can view various screens that allows them to easily fix such issues. This was the first time any of us ever had MDE accounts so it wasn't like we were using old email addresses or inactive accounts. Disney IT has all sorts of issues so we just let them fix it for us and it worked fine after that.
