I haven't been around in some time and I am booking FP+ today for our upcoming trip in August and booking FP+ on MDE is now a nightmare.

Is it just me or did they break it and make it worse.
You have to book one at a time now and they don't show you on the same screen what FP+ you have already booked for that day so you have to memorize the times so you can align them by the hour.

They used to do a good job and at lease line them up in aligning hourly slots but this is horrible.

What am I missing?

I have mine coming up; pray for me. I stupidly bought a package so my ticket isn't open yet and I can't go in and play with it to get the feel for how it works. I'm tempted to buy a 1 day ticket and link it to my MDE so I can see the fp list and how it works. I hate being in the dark until day of.

Paper and a pen?

I found it pretty easy last week, though it was my first time with FP+ so don't know what it was like before. I booked 13 days of fast passes for 3 of us, not always riding the same rides, in under 30 minutes using the app on my phone. I had made a list of dates and rides and rough times that I wanted then just wrote down actual times as I got them. Much easier than I expected and got everything I wanted.

I don't think it's worse than the old way, but I don't think it is better either. I felt like the goal was to stop people from just defaulting to 3 and only picking ones they really want.

I like the new system far better but I agree it can be confusing to remember what fastpass+ you already did but you know that so it's easier to work with the system.. There was a lot of juggling them around to find out you can't get them for that day and have to start over.. and then an adr didn't fit in so your doing it again...

This works very well for me.

It's a step forward and slightly backward, but overall an improvement. You can now book a specific time for each one, instead of the weird option times, and you don't have to book all 3. However, I agree it's a little more difficult to see what you already have booked. I have a spreadsheet with my wanted FP+ times and my ADRs. You can also open a new tab on your web browser, assuming you are doing this online, and see what you have booked already.

I did fp+ last year in September Has it changed since that time
I was last there in September and wondering what is different since then. I know there are a few new things to it. I may be wrong, but are you now able to book a FP in one park and then book 2 more in a park you plan to hop to?

I had a list of what FP I wanted to book, and I marked them off after I got them. If I had to take a different time, I wrote that down as well. I liked making them on the website instead of the app.

Fwiw, we took our first trip with FP+ this month, and I was surprised that I liked it.

I had to practice today and it took me a little while to figure out what to do with the changes. I really wish they showed the times you had already booked, but yes, I will write it down as I go. Seems like that shouldn't be necessary though.

I have gone ahead and written down which FPs I want, in order that I want to book them. To the side of that I have noted any ADRs, and the time frame I want my FPs for. Go for the harder to get (Frozen, Soarin, 7DMR) first, and then on from there. Don't go in order of the day, go in order of importance for each individual ride.

Nope, still can't do that.

I agree that at first I didn't get it. It is nice that you can pick times better but it definitely took longer to book. I wish they would just use part of the screen to list your previous fastpasses for the same day.

What I found is that it was harder to get fastpasses back to back. If I refreshed the times - sometimes different times would come up. I was doing that often.

That is kinda what I am talking about. They used to do a good job of linking things up back to back, 9 to 10, 10 to 11, 11 to 12. But now there are huge gaps between which shouldn't be a problem if you plan on being there from rope drop to fireworks, but if you plan on sleeping in and doing the pool and just going for the evening it makes it kinda rough.

I agree - only a few of our fastpasses don't have a break in between them and we are going for 2 weeks.

THANKS!! That is great advice!! I will be at 60 days tomorrow. I am just a little worried that today I can only see 30 days out on MDE?? Joan
