MDE App Help

I finally downloaded the My Disney Experience app. I'm very skittish with new tech until I get comfortable with it, so I want to play with it a bit before my trip. I'm looking for tips on how to navigate around the app, what's available in it, etc.

I've used the regular web site to book all my ADRs and FPs already, and it did let me sign in on the app and see those, so that's a plus.


Specific questions so far:

How do you go back after you've clicked something? (For example, I accidentally clicked on one of my FPs but don't want to alter it, and I can't find a button to just go back to the full list.)
 
To go back just swipe down from the top of the screen or click the down arrow at the top

My IPhone app will let me log in; but my IPad app will NOT. If I delete the app & reinstall it, will I lose all of my dining reservations & fastpasses? I am worried!!! Anyone have experience with this?

Removing the MDE mobile app from a device will NOT cancel any plans you have.

No, your FP and ADR are stored on Disney's servers, not your device. That's why you see them on ALL devices you sign in with
 
The app is great for wait times and you can use it to book 4th FP+ while in the parks. I really loved it for that. But, I have an upcoming trip and so I have tried to go on the app and it told me to update to the new version and when I tried I got a message saying that my device will not support the new version and so now I can't use it at all. I have a Galaxy S5. Any thoughts on how I can fix this?

DP and I have the same issue with a Galaxy S6. We even took it to the Att store to find out what we can do, and basically, it's not capable of getting the upgrade. The only way to get the MDE app now, is to get a new phone. :headache:

Or - rather that use the app bookmark the mobile site and use that directly from your phone's web server. Problem solved.

Just another way to convince us to "upgrade" our phones. I will be done paying mine off this month and I have several other problems with it now as well. However, I had dh download the app and it works fine on his phone. So between that and just using the mobile site we will be all set!
 
Even though I started this thread asking for advice, I have some to share already: Make sure you go into settings and choose the location option that you want! There are three choices instead of the usual two. Mine was turned on, and I'm over 3,000 miles away! No sense using data 'till I get there, so I set it to turn on only when I'm using the app.

I have not updated to the latest version, but I used it on our most recent trip to make last minute ADR's.
