Here's a very quick review of our meal at 1900 Park Fare, Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner.

Date we ate: Monday Feb 9th
Time we ate: booked for 4:50, arrived early and were seated at 4:30pm

Service: Excellent, prompt, attentive, courteous. Dishes removed immediately. Drinks refilled very quickly without asking. Both waiter & maitre inquired into our liking of the meal, satisfaction with everything, etc.

Atmosphere: Setting was pleasant, the Grand Floridian is a very "pretty" setting and it was very nice to sit on comfortable chairs and eat off white tablecloths. Noise level is high, with loud music being piped in and lots of happy chatter from excited little girls.

Food: Summary - Adults' entree offerings were excellent. Children's offerings were very plain, but seemed of good quality & freshness.

What we noticed immediately was that the buffet had a great variety of vegetables incorporated into the dishes. We are veggie & fruit lovers and the quality of both were very high at this meal. Everything on the adult buffets seemed exceptionally fresh and of good quality. The beef roast was delicious and very nicely done so that the centre portion was a lovely medium-rare, with outer ends available for well-done fans. Both the cream of asparagus soup and the tuscan bean soup were excellent and the breads offered were fresh (stale bread at a buffet is a HUGE peeve of mine). I don't eat desserts, but DH & DD both do, and they seemed to enjoy the ice cream. DH's review of the baked desserts? Fine. Mine? Nothing to swoon over.

Negative: Several of the dishes had too much salt. We also noticed this over-salting when eating the next night at the GF Cafe.

Character Interaction: First, let me mention, my daughter is *incredibly* shy. All of the characters stopped by at timely intervals to say hello but DD wouldn't even LOOK at them and only stood stiff as a board for a very quick picture with Cinderella. But all of the characters were patient and tried their best with her. I noticed other more confident children were enjoying themselves tremendously and nobody seemed rushed through any of the meetings with the characters. DD was much more relaxed with the stepsisters (less intimidating, perhaps), and at one point, got up from the table to join in a little parade, let by Druscilla, marching around the room. She was very proud of herself for that!

Conclusion: Excellent meal, great food, great character interaction & entertainment. Well, well worth every single penny. Parents of any young girl, this one is a must-do.

Glad to hear you had a great experience. We were at the 1900 Park Fare dinner on Jan.18 and to date it was the worst dining experience we've ever had at wdw. Service, food, atmosphere :scared: We obviously won't eat there again, not b/c of the bad experience we had, but DS is too old for character meals, except for Chef Mickey's which we always try to do.

Thank you for posting such an excellent, detailed review of 1900PF dinner. I haven't booked it for our upcoming trip, but now I'm considering it!:)

Glad you guys had such a good time! The asparagus soup sounds excellent. I love the cream soups at WDW restaurants. :cloud9:

We ate breakfast there on last our trip and it was fabulous. I can hardly wait to try the dinner there. We've enjoyed nearly all of the dinner buffets we've tried at WDW, so I have little doubt we'll like this one.

I was actually sorry that I ate the asparagus soup after a plate of salad & a plate of entrees.... it was so good! I didn't have room to eat any more than half a bowl (sob).
