We Are arriving at MCO around 230. We need to get to Disney springs area hotel. What do you think would be the cheapest way? We have a one year old with us so we need a car seat. Our hotel charges parking so we don’t want to keep a rental. We are switching to a Disney hotel after two nights so we are usin DME to return to MCO.

Thanks for any help. We are use to driving not flying so this is a new area for us.

Uber Family should be the most economical.
I assume you have confirmed your hotel doesn't offer a shuttle?

Angi, I'm not so sure Uber offers X with a car seat at MCO any longer. I checked yesterday and only saw Black and Black SUV with car seats -- which would be much more expensive. No X and no XL with car seats at the airport, although I do see those options in the immediate WDW area.

I did see X, but not XL. I will check again when my cat gets off my lap ...

ETA: Yes, I am seeing UberX with car seat, Black w/ car seat, & Black SUV w/ car seat.

OP: If there are more than 2 of you plus the baby, UberX probably would not have room for all your luggage unless you're traveling light.

I saw X Car Seat on the display, but I didn't see any vehicles in the queue. There was no XL Car Seat on the menu.

...and I don't own a cat.

No XL w/ car seat selection, but X w/ car seat says 7 min. eta. Are you using Terminal A or B as the pickup point? I found that if I just select MCO, I get weird results.

So sorry to hear about your catlessness,

Lynx bus? The bus picks up at the airport and drops off at Disney Springs, you would have to walk to hotel from there. Do you need car seat on a bus? It is $2 for one trip or $4.5 for a day pass.

There is no direct bus. Taking 2 buses & transferring at Sea World, travel time is between 90 minutes and 2 hrs. The bus runs hourly most of the day.

There are no luggage facilities on Lynx buses. I don't know their luggage policy, but federal rules prohibit luggage blocking the aisle.

FL law does not require car seats on buses.

Least expensive route is the Lynx bus system as previous posters noted. You wont need a car seat on the bus since it's not required or provided for on buses whether for school, interstate, local transit or even Disney's bus system. You'll need to take 2 buses. The cost will be between $2.00 and $4.00 p/p w/ no charge for children 6 and under. You'll find that international travelers to Disney, various outlets and hotels will also be on the bus as they are used to public transport. As for luggage your average carry-on will fit under your seat sideways, or on some Lynx buses, can be placed in front of you with no squished knees on the first row of seats behind the driver. The double buses will also have space in the accordion space. Lay your luggage flat here especially if it's wheeled so it wont roll away.
Not sure if you mean arrival time is 2:30 AM or PM or if you are using international terms.

You have to run the numbers.

Lynx bus is obviously the cheapest.

Bring your own carseat and install it in the rideshare or taxi seems the most simple.

Our hotel charges parking so we don’t want to keep a rental.

But run the more expensive rideshares
vs
Bring your car seat and less expensive rideshares
vs
Renting a car and keeping it to return somewhere at/near Disney after moving to the Disney resort, plus parking
vs
Renting a car for a 24 hour or shorter period and return it in the DS area then again to move over.

Of course the last two require you to bring the carseat.

I have seen some car seats that can have a system that allows them to function as a stroller. Maybe this is an option?
Also, in case you aren't aware, it's my understanding that you can gate check a car seat for free. Something to check in to for sure, if bringing yours is a choice you can make

Thank you for the help. This is not a problem I have faced before. I appreciate the help.

Have you priced out a one way rental from the airport to a drop off near your resort?

You could also price what it would cost using Mears.

For the Disney Springs Hotels, Mears' shared-ride service is $24 one-way/$38 round-trip for adults and $19 one-way/$29 round-trip for children.

Like buses, I believe they are exempt from requiring car seats for children. But, that's something you'd want to confirm with Mears.
