Has anyone here ever taken a towncar from MCO to the Carribean Beach Resort? How long did it take to get from the airport to the resort? We will be on a really tight schedule on October 28 to check-in and make our ADR before MNSSHP. Plane lands at 3PM. We had planned to take Magic Express but I'm not sure we will make it. Has anyone used Magic Express to that resort around that time of day lately? How long did it take from deplaning to check-in at the resort? Thanks :earsgirl:

If you are traveling by towncar it takes a little more than half an hour to get to CBR. By bus people have been reporting about an hour or so.

Of course if you take a towncar you will have to wait on and claim your luggage...so figure another 20 minutes. It is a good 30 minute drive from the airport to CBR and that is if you don't hit a lot of traffic.

I would allow at least 90 minutes from the time you get off the plane until you get checked into your hotel (off the pane, tram into terminal, hike to luggage claim, find your driver, claim bags, load car, drive to hotel, unload and check in...expect a line to check in at CBR at that time of day too!!). It is possible that you could do it in less, but not too probable.

If it is going to stress you to the max to make your ADR's (not a happy way to start a vacation) you might want to think about just hitting the food court at CBR or a counter service place at the parks for dinner that night and then enjoy the party... a nice dinner would be great, but not if it exponentially increases the stress level of arrival.

Hmm ... the numbers just don't add up. When I used DME on May 8, I actually timed each portion of my journey, to report back to another message board (I was the guinea pig, the first of the regulars on that board to use DME, so I kept notes to make an accurate report).

When I rode DME, it was 53 minutes from getting into the DME line to being dropped off at CBR, the first stop on that particular bus. (By the way, I began timing when I got into the DME line, not when I got off the plane, because different people walk at different paces, make bathroom stops, etc., but I thought whether taking a limo or renting a car or taking DME, an equal starting time would be the first act that would make DME different from the other 2, which is getting into the DME line).

My biggest point is that 25 minutes out of those 53 minutes was riding from when the bus pulled out of MCO until it arrived at CBR, and we were the first stop. If it's a 25 minute ride, I'd love to know how people can get there in 30 minutes including waiting at baggage claim, waiting for the driver to get the car, waiting for the driver to load the car, walking to the car, etc.

I didn't figure in waiting for luggage. The question was how long did it take from MCO to CBR. Sometimes luggage can be waiting for you by the time you get to the carousel or you wait half an hour.
