I was very concerned after reading the horror stories about TSA at MCO about mistreatment of disabled passengers etc. and the general rudeness. AND given that I was traveling two day before Thanksgiving.
Well we arrived at the airport about 2pm and got in the short line? where were the people? timed the experience. we stayed in the mainstream line on my scooter till we got to the tables, at that point they pulled me aside and led me and hubby to the front. He took my stuff and shoes and put them on the belt, they gave me a cain to walk through the scanner and got me a chair while they went over the scooter, mirrors under it and all, and thanked me. All very professional.
The whole thing took 7 min.

Just wanted to post this.

We travel thru MCO at least twice a year and have never had a bad or rude experience there (or at any other airport in almost 19 years of travel with DD in a wheelchair). I really have heard very few stories about mistreatment of travelers with disabilities.
