MCO question

We land in MCO at 1:30pm on our arrival day. I know my son will be starving and want lunch. (He's not likely to want to snack on our 3-hour flight at all.) So I'm thinking we will just eat at McDonalds in the airport before booking an Uber to our hotel.

So here's my question.....

Can we go down to baggage to get our checked suitcases....then take our bags back up to the 3rd floor to eat at McDonalds? Or is that not possible due to security?

(And not that I really care....but will we seem out of place or weird for having our large suitcases with us while we eat?? Dumb question, I know. I'm just curious.)

I believe you should be able to do that without any problem. McDonald’s is listed as part of the “pre-security food court” so it’s an area that you access before going through TSA checkpoints.

I believe you can only check luggage 4-5 hours before your flight. So someone at the airport extremely early might still have their checked luggage with them.

Even if you're the only ones with checked luggage AND someone gives you the stinkeye, who cares? If your checked luggage takes up seating space, then I could understand.

What airline are you flying? The answer might be different if you are arriving at Terminal C rather than A/B

You’ll be fine. We have done that when waiting for other family members who were arriving later on different flights.
