Our flight is scheduled to arrive around 10pm and we have a room booked at the MCO Hyatt for the night. If our flight is delayed, do we need to call or will they hold the room?

This may be a dumb question, but we don't normally fly at night.

Thank you.

They will hold the room. But it sure won't hurt (and maybe give you a little peace-of-mind) to call if your flight is delayed by more than an hour.

I stayed there once - I really liked it.

More than likely, you'll get charged for the room whether you show up or not (most reservations need to be cancelled by 6p the night before). So if your flight gets cancelled, it's worth calling to check, but you probably will still be paying for the room. So you should be able to check in ANYTIME.

Thank you. Our flight is at 6pm, the last non-stop flight of day, so there's a possibility it could be delayed. But even if we arrive at midnight, all we are doing is checking in and going to sleep so it should be okay.

Midnight you should be fine. It's if you show up at 3 or 4 in the morning that it could become a problem. Once that nightly audit is run and they are on the next business day, you've been marked as a no show and the room as not needing to be cleaned. You're at the mercy of the night auditor at that point if they are willing to do what is right and put in the extra work.
