Not sure if this is the right place to ask this question but here goes. We are surprising DD7 and DD10 with a trip to WDW and do not want them to find out until we arrive at POP. We are arriving at 9pm and staying our first night at the Hyatt in the Airport. I am wondering if there is anyway to check in at the Hyatt without passing by the huge airport disney store? :confused3

We fly West Palm normally to see their Grandparents and we told the kids that Thanksgiving is a busy weekend that we have to fly into a different airport. My DH and I have a bet if the surprise will be blown once DD10 figures out we are going to Orlando but he really wants them to find out at POP so I thought I would ask.

We are flying Air Tran if that helps?

Yes, just go straight to the escalator up to the Hyatt after coming out of the exit from Air Tran .

Unless you want to blind fold her...no..

I come out this tram DAILY! As you exit there is not only a HUGE Goofy on one side, but a Walt Disney World wall mural..

Not to mention the HUGE Harry Potter..

If you can keep her distracted, it might be able to be done, but honestly, its not going to be easy...not to mention on the flight...Once she hears Orlando, it will all be over..

The escalator is to the right of the tram exit area, and you sometime have to go around a large group of ppl to get to it...and on the opposite wall from the escalator is the Disney World sign..

As I am typing this...maybe you can cover this up. You can tell her you had to fly into Orlando, and that you are driving to the grandparents the next day. So yes this is the official Disney airport, but sadly you are going to see grandma and not Mickey...then she will prob be kinda bummed, but you will boost her even more when she finally gets she is going to WDW instead...

Just a suggestion

Lying is all a part of the big plan :rotfl2: The kids know we are going to WDW with there grandparents that live near us in Michigan in April which is when we normally visit their grandparents that live in FL.

So we have told them this we why we have to visit the FL grandparents near Thanksgiving. We are actually planning to wake up on Saturday and get a rental car and tell them since they did so well in school we are taking them to Sea World before heading to grandma and grandpa's. I totally expected when we were in the car driving to SW that we would have to tell them that we could not possibly be going to disney twice in 6 months :scared1: So maybe we will have to let loose on that part of the plan when we get off the plane. Thanks again!

I did a surprise visit with my DD and while we were waiting at the gate to board the plane people were asking her if she was going to WDW. I had told her as we arrived at the airport so the surprise wasn't blown but just factor that in to your plans.
