MCO - How early should we plan to arrive?

I have a flight out of MCO at 8:08 am on December 14th (Wednesday). For those of you who have flown out of MCO, how early should I plan to arrive?

I'm also returning a rental car to Alamo. Any idea how much time that will add on to the process? I'm staying at an airport hotel (2 1/2 miles away) the night before the flight and am wondering if I should plan on returning the car the night before then taking the hotel shuttle rather than trying to deal with the rental car return in the morning.

Another complication is that I will be traveling with my elderly mother who uses a wheelchair. I don't want to drag her out of bed at 5 am, but I don't know if the hotel shuttle could accomadate her chair.

Any information re: how people time pre-flight arrival at MCO would be appreciated!

I know MCO has a website; you could Google it.
I'd think 90 minutes would be sufficient.
If your mom can be alone outsidet the terminal for fifteen minutes or so, I'd drop her off AND check your luggage with the SkyCaps at the same time; drive back around to the garage and return the car; then go get your mom.
Or, call the hotel and ASK if the shuttle can accommodate your mom and her wheelchair, and while you're at it, what time does it start running.
At any rate, for an 8:08 flight, I would leave the hotel NO later than 6 AM.

Haven't used Alamo, but they are the same company as National and their drop off only takes a couple minutes. You pull into the garage, a person with a hand held computer punches in your car's information, and they print you a receipt. It takes about 10 minutes to get to the check in area (for side B anyway), maybe longer with someone in a wheelchair because you would have to wait for the elevator rather than take the escalators.
