We're scheduled to turn in rental car a day early at MCO and would like to stay that night very close to the airport. I would love to stay at Hyatt at Airport but the cheapest I can find is $134. Some hotel airport shuttle reviews are not very reliable. Does anyone know a code to get the Hyatt cheaper or know of a reliable airport shuttle.

Well, you could get 10% off through Costco Travel http://www.costcotravel.com/#11_hyattHotelsAndResorts, but $134/night is a pretty good rate for a hotel of that quality. Read more opinions about it here: http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/orlando/1188602-mco-hyatt-hotel.html#post16573253

We have stayed at the Sheraton Suites by the airport on 2 different trips. One trip we paid $42 and the next time $54 - we booked on hotwire so had to book without knowing the hotel name. I had put in hotel near MCO with shuttle and pool. We enjoyed our stay there - it was very clean with very professional great staff and a decent choice of restaurants nearby. On one trip, we returned our car to the airport the night before and just used the shuttle to take us to the airport in the morning - the money I saved on car rental was almost the cost of the hotel for the night. I believe their shuttle runs 24 hours a day. I dropped our party off at the hotel and did check in then went to airport to return car and caught shuttle back to hotel.

I was wondering the same thing- has anyone had a any luck getting the hyatt on priceline??

I never foiund it on Priceline but I did find it on LastMinuteTravel.com but you have to pay total up front. We chickened out and just went ahead and reserved it through Hyatt. I figured this is the last night of a long vacation and I want it to be little or no stress.:hippie:

According to betterbidding.com, this is how the Hyatt is listed in Hotwire.com:

4* Hyatt Regency
Amenities: Shuttle, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Tennis, Business
OR
Amenities: Shuttle, Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Hi-Speed Internet, Business
(same as Renaissance)

A 4 star for the MCO will either be the Hyatt or the Renaissance. I personally would be happy with either one. I know the Renaissance is not attached to the airport, but it is supposed to be very nice. They have their own shuttle.

EDIT: I looked on Lastminutetravel.com. If you search for airport area only, they Hyatt is listed as 4-star Orlando, 3.84 miles to the airport. Don't know why it says that, maybe to throw people off? But if you look at the photos attached to that one, it is the Hyatt. The Renaissance is listed as 4-star Orlando, 1.85 miles to the airport. I just checked 7/12 to see what I saw, and the Hyatt came up at $111, and the Renaissance was $89.
