We are spending the night at the Hyatt before our cruise and I wondered if there was a place to get the non-drowsy dramamine in a drugstore there?
Can't get it at home!

Thx

You could check one of the drug stores/magazine stands down between the security check points.

Maybe order it through Amazon and have it delivered to home?

The non-drowsy is called Meclozine and often sold in drug stores here in NJ under brand name Bonine.

I stock up on both Dramamine and Meclozine as well as ginger gum. I love to cruise, but get horribly motion sick!!

Can you find Bonine? It's the same thing. Also, I know in Tennessee that they keep these meds behind the pharmacy counter so you might try asking the pharmacist.

I also think they have them free in the ship's medical center.

Yes, try looking for generic non-drowsy motion sickness medication or Bonine. Basically anything where the active ingredient is Meclizine. May need to ask at the pharmacy counter.

They do have it free at the Health Center on the ship but that doesn't help if you want to start taking it before you board.

Thanks everyone. We do want to take it the day before, so hopefully there will be someplace at the airport to get it.

Thx again!

You can't get "non-drowsy dramamine" at home (if home is the United States) because there is no product by the name. There is only Dramamine Less Drowsy Formula, which, as noted by others on this thread, has the same active ingredient as Bonine.

Dramamine Less Drowsy Formula and Bonine can cause drowsiness, but typically not as much drowsiness as Dramamine Original Formula.

If you are in the United States, Bonine, Dramamine Less Drowsy Formula, and various store brand motion sickness remedies providing Meclizine HCI 25 mg are readily available, but you may have to ask for them if they're not available for self-service. In any case, it should be much easier than trying to find it at the airport (and paying airport prices).

If you are not in the United States, ask your pharmacist/chemist about Meclizine HCI 25 mg and whether it's available in your country without a prescription.

If anyone is interested you can get Bonine in the CNN News and Gifts store located on Side A of the Orlando Airport. I saw some there back in June 2012.
