MCMVP hours

Trying to maximum my park $$$. MCMVP starts at 7:00pm. I have read you can enter earlier with MCMVP tickets but the Disney rep says no you can't.
Does anyone know the real scoop?

They will allow entry after 4:00pm with just your MVMCP ticket. People attending MNSSHP this month reported they are still allowing this. They do this because they would have a huge crowd at the security checkpoint if they would not allow early admissions.
