McDonalds

We never eat McDonald’s hamburgers. I don’t think any of the fast food looks like it does in the commercials. Subway sandwiches always look so good on TV, but they never look that way when you open the wrapper.

Food stylists are very good at making things look appealing. That said, one time at MCO, I was pretty desperate and got some McD's and the Quarter Pounder that I got looked like it came out of a commercial - it was like perfectly put together! It happens I guess.

Same reason NOTHING looks like it does in advertising. When was the last time you booked a hotel and everything looked just like it did in the photos on the website?

I never noticed because I don’t like McDonalds. I had a burger when I was in the third grade that was so disgusting I have never tried their food again. Well, with the exception of breakfast. I wouldn’t go out of my way to get their breakfast, but at least it resembles food.

Yep. It's not just McDonald's, I was a Frisch's Big Boy once and ordered the Big Boy and that was a Big Disappointment. The burger patties were so thin you could almost read through them.

Der Wienerschnitzel has a neat marketing trick going recently Introduce a limited time product, actually, usually three products (currently the BBQ Luau items.) Advertise the heck out of them, show how great they look.
Well, I went for the Brisket promotion. No doubt, it was VERY tasty. But the portion was tiny compared to what they show on TV and the price high for what it was. Well, not counting how much they spend advertising it to get me in the restaurant.

Use to love the breakfast sandwiches, but last time we stopped, couple weekends ago taking the youngest up to freshman year at school, it was I think $44 for a breakfast sandwich, hashbrown, and a drink for 4.

Paid more for a little orange juice than I use to for 2 breakfast sandwiches.

Also I learned you have to use yet another app. Sandwiches are $4 each, or 2 for $2 with the app. I said never mind but they freaked and wanted to use their phone to give me 2 for $2. I drove away. Not playing the need an app for every little thing you do or buy.

Prefer homemade burgers to be honest
Same here only I don't carry my grill around with me when we're out shopping. Shopping is at least a hour and 45 minute just in the car let alone the shopping part. More than grocery shopping and it's a whole day event.

Never liked any of the McDonald's burgers with those gloppy topping and soggy buns. They stopped offering chicken strips which I thought were good when they started with the new chicken sandwich. Tried that and wasn't impressed. Chicken nuggest are disgusting and won't eat those. Ordered a chocolate milkshake last time I was there and the girl handed me something that looked like vanilla with a few chocolate streaks. I asked if I got the wrong order..........she said they were running out of chocolate syrup.............????..........OK then why sell me something you can't make? Haven't been back since.
