McDonald's Toys

Am I the only one who is not rushing to McDonald's to get the plastic 50th Anniversary toys? Besides being the 50th Anniversary, I don't see anything special about them. Now, the 25th Anniversary WDW glasses from McDonald's was a whole different story. I definitely had the set of those.

I think they are cute, but I'm not going to start eating Happy Meals to get them because they aren't useful in anyway.

I'm going to make a scavenger hunt sheet for the statues in each park for my grandkids ( 5 and 8) --by the time I do, maybe Disney will print up a list / pamphlet. Got one Happy Meal, cutting out the pictures from the box.

There's too many of them. I enjoyed collecting the MMRR train, even in spite of the recall. But with 50 toys, it's pointless. And the odds of getting the couple I really want seem too low. So no Happy Meals here.

I have a set of round ones and a set of square ones. Were they all 25th anniversary? I have no idea. But they are almost indestructible.

Nope.

I paid my dues many years ago getting the McDonald's Birthday Train series.


No way am I trying to get all the 50th anniversary ones.

I was able to buy all 6 different ones they had at the one I went to for $1.70 or so each without buying Happy Meals. They’re nothing fancy but I have little ones and they love them. Not going to be trying for all 50 though!

We have gotten a couple. Husband went in and bought some directly without buying the Happy Meal. $2/piece The lady at this particular McDonalds was very nice and helpful. We've gone to a couple of different McDonalds besides that one in our area and when you ask what toys they have, they act like they don't understand or they give out the old toys from last promotion. The first McDonalds we went to was the only one with the 50th Anniversary toys. There's too many of them. Stores not handing them out whether for buying or in the Happy Meal itself. I lost interest.

Agreed. I understand that McDonalds can't afford to give away quality toys but what I don't understand is how Disney can get people to pay top dollar for Chinese made junk. With the prices they charge the Disney toys should be made in the USA and be top quality.

I think I had one round and all four square at one point, but I'm not sure which were anniversary.

I'm down to only a couple, though. - One of the square ones actually just broke last month. They were pretty tough, and lasted a long time, though.


As for the new figures, Mickey and Minnie are cute, but I have no plans to try collecting them all.

I’ll wait and see what we get over the next few weeks and if I don’t get Pinocchio I’d be willing to trade. I’m most interested in Pooh Bear so if you get an extra one hold on to it for me! Lol!!
