McDonalds on I-Drive near convention ctr

Does anyone know whether this McDonalds still exists?

On google maps it says, "This place is permanently closed"

We just booked a room at the Peabody for the upcoming fambly vacation, but being more of a convention-goers hotel it apparently doesn't have much a coffee or breakfast option except for a pricey diner/coffee shop, and complimentary coffee in the lobby which doesn't seem to get favorable mentions in the online reviews.

Oh yeah, and it apparently doesn't have a coffee maker in the rooms, or a microwave, though it does have a fridge.

I see there is a Wendy's and another McD's on Central Florida Parkway, not very far out of the way when driving to WDW. If anyone can think of any other fast, simple, cheap (read: drive-thru) options for coffee and bagels in the Convention Ctr or Seaworld area, do tell!

I just stopped for a Diet Coke there about a month ago - did you check the McDonald's website - it is usually up to date.

Thanks for the tip. Yeah, it appears to be still there.

Weird how google gets these ideas ...

If you use maps.google.com and maps.live.com a lot, you've probably seen a lot of situations where you flip around between various map/satellite/aerial/street views, and you literally see businesses coming and going. One view shows an empty field, then you change the view and there is a gas station, strip mall and a Dunkin Donuts. Or you see a multi-story hotel in one view, then change the angle of the aerial photo and it's been demolished.

In any case, I think we'll be OK because even if that McD's has been beamed up, there is another McD's not far away on Central Florida Parkway and a Wendy's right by the corner of CFP and I-Drive.

We found the restaurant all right, it's open and everything, but we found their drive-thru kind of dysfunctional and stopped going there after the 3rd morning. DW wants milk in her coffee, hates cream, and they just didn't seem to know whether they had any milk available

Is taking milk in your coffee all that weird in FL or in USA? It can't be, because we didn't have trouble anywhere else.

So instead of the $1 coffee at McDonalds in the morning we either got a $3.50 coffee from the hotel coffee stand or bought one waiting in the line for the turnstiles to open at the theme parks. Whatever works!
