McCormick's Salt N Spice discontinued

Hope you find some! Never tried McCormicks but I'm addicted to Crazy Jane's Mixed Up Salt (salt with spices added). It might be similar to McCormicks, if your quest ends in disappointment.

:thumbsup2 Love it!

we just call it crazy salt but it's my favorite seasoning

We call it Crazy Salt too. My kids LOVE it. I never heard of anyone else that actually used it. LOL Only on the DIS!

I can only find taco Doritos at Kroger. No one else seems to have them anymore.

I miss an old chip called Pepitos.

We use Nature's Seasons - We use it on everything! I should buy a case for the future in case Morton's decides to discontinue it! My DH is a meat market manager for a grocery store - he sets up his own little display by the meat case because people are always asking him for tips! Actually Morton's should pay him a commission! He sells cases of the stuff! He has joked that he wants to take it to restaurants so the steak (or whatever he orders) has some flavor.

"This perfect blend of onion, garlic, salt, pepper and other natural spices brings out the flavor of fresher, lighter foods without overpowering them. Use it on chicken, fish, vegetables, pasta and even salads. Try it in dips and salsa and as a topping on freshly baked bread and rolls. MSG-free."

Even worse than discontinuing a favorite item is when they change ingredients and try to pass it off as the same thing "new & improved." Ugh.

For instance, I found an old, old botte of chili powder the other day. It still seemed good, so I used it in something, and it was wonderful. Went to the store, purchased the same brand, and the ingredients had changed. Different peppers and different added spices.

The Jayne's Crazy salt is very good.

I hated after Christmas that the Candy Cane Kisses disappeared. I had gotten addicted to them. I hunted grocery stores and bought every bag on clearance I could find. Why of why does peppermint have to be for Christmas only. It is such a good flavor, we should get it year round!

I agree!! I love peppermint too. I loved the peppermint spray they had at Bath & Body Works around the holidays- got some and now the bottle is almost gone :sad1:

ohhh you are right.....new & improved usually means find a new food for us.

Don't you just hate when companies stop making a product that you love and use all of the time!!! I have been to four different stores in search of Salt N Spice only to learn that McCormick's has discontinued it. We use this in so many of our dishes, it will be hard to replace. I wrote to the company, but I am sure that will do no good, so now I am on a quest!!! Argh!
Oh Glorious Day.. Finally.. Salt n Spice. Its Back.

Source?

And welcome to the dis, Mike.
I'm the source. I've never given up that it would be back. Once a week since my family ran out of our stash..lol yes we all loved it that much. My Mother got us a hooked and when we (myself, 5 siblings and numerous friends of the family) found out about the possible discontinuation it was my mother who contacted the manufacturing plant from there the warehouse and finally the boss of both of those and talked them out of the then not shared similar tasting recipe which leaves out dried red bell pepper btw as well as the last couple cases left in the companies possession. I tell you that when it got down to mom doling out a bottle each as Christmas gifts which was well after the stores had sold out of stock. Things got pretty dicey on who might be hoarding out amongst us siblings. Not pretty.
It's been brought back under the name McCormick Grill Mates Classic SMASH Seasoning.
