He was a POW
He WAS in war, and doesnt he have a son in the war right now?

So..when people are screaming 'OMG HE WANTS WAR" he knows what hes talking about, because this isnt a situation where we can use our words.
The other nations would think nothing of bombing us if we tried and "use our words".

Why do you say that? I'm not trying to start a debate or anything, just asking. I don't know much about either candidates policies, except McCain is pro-life and wants to stay in Iraq, and Obama is pro-choice and wants to get us outta there. That basically made up my mind.

McCain is just like Bush, if not worse. Do you not see how bad everything is right now? He's not gonna make it any better.

Personally, I don't believe we should be in Iraq. We've been there for 6 years already and spending money on what we've destroyed. Our country is in enough debt, we shouldn't be wasting it over there. If we slowly backed out of the war and left, I don't think natipons would bomb us. A lot may think higher of us since we left and didn't continue to fight.

I want you to realize..

He was fighting for US.
He was imprisioned.

Thats a LOT to go through.

Plus, to have a loved one in the war right now, yes he probably wants the war to end in his heart, but he knows that you cant just say "can we talk this over? drop the guns and we resign?" because the other nations are like that.

McCain has experienced war so he knowns what he is talking about. Everyone just assumes he wants too stay there. What was the point of going over there (Iraq) if Obama just takes us out right when he gets into office.

Obama. Just because McCain's fought doesn't make him any more qualified. And he's already stated that he'd have troups in Iraq for 100 years if he had to. So, we really need some fresh blood in the white house. A whole new perspective.

And the war isn't the most important thing to worry about. What about the economy, the rising costs of food and gas? What good has McCain promised? Nothing I'd be settled with.
