MB program?

could someone explain to me what the MB program is?

MB is an incentive program offered by DVC sales. It provides you with the opportunity to sell back 1/2 of your first year points at $10. per point. This deal is changing to 100% of your points for $5 a point as of 4/1. (I believe I have the percentages and $$ values correct, if not, one of the others here will correct my numbers!)

MB can, and does, assist folks who may need assistance coming up with the cash for the downpayment when they purchase DVC. Although we personally never found $10/point MB offer to be an attractive offer, we consider the new $5. a point offer to be a very poor investment.

I just bought into VB today. My guide was Susan Schell. Very nice by the way. They are offering 13/point until 4/1. That particular one also has the ability to be bought over the phone where all the points from last year (if applicable) can be used for a downpayment. I'm in CA so check with them on your program for your state. Hilton Head is only half and only at 10/point. The annual dues are roughly 200 higher than HH but we decided that we wanted a beach house so we're willing to deal with it.

MB=Magical Beginnings

The program is as stated above. I only wanted to say to buy where you plan to stay the most.

HHI and VERO are wonderful resorts, but regardless of their current MB program, they are only a bargain if they are your primary destinations.

VERO has its own MB program as stated above which is wonderful IF VERO is where you want to go.

If WDW is where you are planning to stay the most often, then that is where you should buy whether you buy through Disney or through a resale. VWL are currently only offered through WDW, but OKW and BWV are available through resale. They are all wonderful resorts as are HHI and VERO.
