I was told by Disney today that you have to have a child under 5 to be permitted in the parks on the MB extra hour morning!! I called twice and was told the same thing. I'm losing it as I had planned these mornings and made my ressies (even before MB was announced). My youngest is 7 so I just don't know what to do besides starting over again with my touring plan and ressies for these days. HELP.

Really?? That's the first I've heard of that. 5 yr olds can look so different from one another. My 5 year old looks much older than 5. He's very tall for his age. What are they going to do...start demanding ID for every child that enters? I'll be disappointed if that turns out to be true.

Has anyone heard anything different? I am really not wanting to readjust my planning but I don't want to be turned away either.

I was under the impression that MB mornings are for all resort guests. It's like an EMH.

I'm sorry, I'm clueless. :confused3 Please explain "MB".

It's Magical Beginnings.

From the Disney website:

It took me a few moments, but I think they mean Magical Beginings.

The good news-I looked at the Disney site and the information is in the preschool section but it doesn't mention an age.

The bad news-The Disney site is a terrible source for Disney information.

I also looked on the dis main site, allears and TGM and don't see this restriction mentioned anywhere. Allears does mention 5 years old but does not say that is a requirement.

I have never read the age 5 requirement anywhere. The website says it is open to all resort guest no mention of age.

I just called and was told by a cast member and her supervisor it was for everyone. I insisted on talking with someone at MK guest services.
He told me it is only for 5 and under!
I said why don't you say that on your web site, he replied when you show up at the resort it will say that!
I told him i have made my plans a long time ago expecting to get the early hour, and he just said it will say it in my info pack when i get to the resort!
I don't know how they will tell who is 5 and under or not.
What rotten communication, if i hadn't read this thread i would have went and i guess not let in since my son is 7.

If it's geared toward children under 5, that would make sense that they would turn away adults parties. I think they are trying to do something extra special for these little ones and if adults are clogging up the lines, how would this benefit the little ones?

I am sorry, but I am totally lost. Where does it show " MB" days? All I ever saw was the early morning and extended evening hours? Are those gone now? :confused3

Do you honestly think they're going to turn resort guests with children away at the turnstiles?

"I'm sorry folks, but Wallyworld is closed today. The moose at the front should've told you."

I really don't think that you're gonna have trouble with a 7 year old. Toss 'em in a stroller and roll on! ;)

I understand you are upset about this, but that area of the Disney site clearly states that this is an event designed with pre-schoolers in mind. A child at age 7 is not really a pre-schooler. Honestly, I do not see them turning you away, but also understand what they are trying to do. They are trying to make the park a little bit more enjoyable for thoes that have young children. It will be in the morning, so it is not as hot, and all the rides opened are only thoes that they would enjoy. I think it is a wonderful idea that Disney is doing, and it may encourage thoes parents who may think that their children are too young to enjoy Disney to go.
