MB & Hard Ticket

my daughter bought a 4 day pass from the disney store. we are doing a split stay. can you use the actual pass to enter a park or must you use the MB. reason i ask is that we are doing a split stay. on the day we move to the second resort we want to go straight to a park before we check in. instead of using the MB which some say may not be activated yet since we didn't check in can she just use the pass. TIA

You can link the ticket to the MB and get in or use the hard ticket. Nobody NEEDS a MB, they're just nice to have. And you don't have to check in first for your MB to be ready. You can also do early check in online so you don't have to wait at the hotel lobby and cut down on time.
