MB/FP+/AP/On&Off-site question

I'm so sorry if someone has asked this already, but after scrolling through TONS of FP+ posts I still can't figure this out! Here's our situation:
we have 8 total park days, using a FL resident AP. We will be spending our 1st night at Pop, the moving to Bonnet Creek for the remaining 8 nights. I know we will get MBs for our 1 night at Pop, and a Disney rep said we could link our APs to the MBs and our APs would STAY linked to the MBs. She also confirmed we would have access to FP+ for the time we are at Pop. My question is, will we ONLY have access to FP+ for that 1 day? I know others have bought X# of day tickets, linked them to the MB and have been able to use FP+ for all of the days on the ticket, even when staying off-site for part of their trip. How does this work for APs? We're going end of February if that makes any difference...

Well, you'll be able to make advance FP+ ressies for the day of arrival and the day of departure at POP but from what I've read, you can use the MB to make FP+ ressies the day your at the park for the rest of your trip. It's only what I've read, no experience about with it here.

We have our AP vouchers linked to our MB for our upcoming stay. Our situation is reversed though, as we are offsite for 5 days prior to our stay. We were able to make FP+ for our arrival day, the duration of our on-site stay, and then for the day AFTER check out. (we go back to our friends house for one night before heading home). We didn't try beyond that, but I read somewhere that AP's get 7 days at a time.

We will activate our AP's on arrival day, and plan to be able to use our MB's (even if we're making same day FP+). We really plan to do a lot of the "games" the first few days-like Agent P, sorcerers, etc. We're just hoping we can actually use our MB's for park entrance, and because our Memory Maker is linked to it as well. (I guess we'll find out on the first day when I take pictures too just to be sure!)

I'd love to hear anyone else's actual experiences with AP/MB

We just got back from a split stay, but not with APs. We were able to make FP+ reservations for any days we had tickets for. I believe that you should be OK. I have seen Josh from Easy WDW & Kenny the Pirate speak of using FP+ with their APs even though they are not staying onsite.
