I haven't seen this discussed anywhere yet but please point me to it if it has been.

My group of 13 (ages 5 - 48) is going to be looking at ordering our MB's soon and we noticed that in the MB+ product details it says Ages 8+. And the MB2 availability appears quite limited. Anyone with MB+ experience know if they just won't fit a smaller wrist? Think we'll be good or should we go with MB2 or bring a workaround (duct tape)?

Thanks!

Looking at the features of the new magic bands, why would a child need their own? They’re going to be with an adult all the time and stand a 50/50 chance of losing whatever you put on them. Actually, my kids have an even worse track record than 50/50. Last trip the 8 year old lost his twice and the 5 year old lost hers once. The only one that held onto hers was my 7 year old. Same thing happened on previous trips. And we do use those little clips to try to keep them on.

The MB+ do have the removable piece to make them smaller like the MB2s. I ordered MB+ for my kids 10,7,4 because I like they can be recharged so hoping to get quite a few years out of them....at least until they get too small with having that extra piece removed.
I think the age warning is because of the charger...wires and what not.
The face/puck piece of the MB+ is a smidge bigger than the MB2 so it takes up a lot of those little wrists. My 4 yo didn't mind it but 7 wasn't a fan but he isn't a fan of anything on his wrist really.
We ordered those protector things on etsy...they worked pretty well.
Anecdotally the MB+, if you lose it, can sort of let you know if you are close by. A good hunk of us were peering through bushes near people mover trying to help a dad locate his daughter's. Since it was paired and the bluetooth was picking it up he was able to narrow the location down to that area.
DH lost his first day in the park but it was turned into lost and found and we had brought our old MB2s as backups. He was NOT wearing the protector.

My five year old kids are teeny tiny and MB+ fit them after I peeled off the removal piece. I would suggest getting the protector because the bands do pop off pretty easily.

Awesome! I mean...not awesome for those who have lost a band but great info. We'll definitely pick up those protectors. Thanks!
