I'm considering making a trip down to DLR Nov 16-18. It would be myself, DF and possibly my 11 year old sister tagging along. If we go down we want to make it a very cheap trip. We're looking at about $150.00 for the hotel room for 2 nights [including tax] So my questions are what else can we do to minimize costs and also how is everyone experiences during this time of the year? Crowds? Weather? And are the Christmas Decorations up yet including Nightmare Before Christmas at the HM? Thanks!!!

Cheap tricks: Pack in your own water, snacks and even lunch type items. Reduce your in-park food purchases to one meal per day. Purchase your hoppers from gaydays website to get a great discount. Try to get an entertainment rate at the HoJo ($54 per night).

You'll be there just as Christmas season is opening. IASW, HMH will both be running, and the Christmas Fantasy Parade and Believe fireworks with snow will begin the night of the 16th. It will probably be a bit crowded on the weekend, but nothing horrible.
