We always seem to go in July for a week.We stay on property, park hop, dinning package, the whole nine yards. However,we are tired of the ever growing crowds, long waits, and the hot weather. We were thinking of going the first or second week in June.Trying to stay away from gay days(have no problem personaly but will have a child with us). Also understand that Star Wars will be going on which we have no problem with.I guess after all this rambling I'm doing I was wondering what is the weather like? How are the crowds? Is there a big differnce between the two months?

As an Orlando resident I can assure you there is no difference between the weather in June and July.

----Av lo- Av hi--- Rec lo --- Rec hi--- Rain
June 71°-- 91°-- 60° (1984) 100° (1998) 7.35
July- 73°-- 92°-- 64° (1981) 101° (1998) 7.15

Remember climate is what you expect and weather is what you get. So your mileage may vary.

According to Undercover Tourist crowd calendar every day in June and July is either a 7, 8 or 9. So no real difference there.

The first week in June *may* be a bit slower because schools in the area don't get out until June 3/4.

Pretty much like here.Im only 5 hours away on the coast of Ga.Our schools get out before memorial day,and the weather is already hot too

I'm not an expert, but I believe the crowds in June are as bad as they are in July. My understanding is from Memorial Day - Late August the crowds are the worst they are outside of Spring Break and Christmas. And the weather is pretty much the same those months, too.

So, no, there is no difference between a trip June 6-June 13 vs a trip July 20-July27.

Early June will have lower crowds and slightly lower temperatures,so it is better overall but not that big a change,it'll still be hot.The later you go in June the more the crowds increase.

We always go a week or two before school starts in august.. The crowds aren't to bad and the weather is a little more tolerable..

You won't notice a difference. Both will be about the same.

The latter half of August is not crowded. And the last week of August is like a ghost town. Once kids start to go back to school, the crowds thin out quickly. In turn, Labor Day weekend is not something to worry about at WDW.

Late August used to be a ghost town. Those days are over with now in WDW. Management has done a very good job at keeping the parks busy year round.

Well, I was there this past August, and it really was dead. Walk-ons for almost everything at MK. Same-day FP for 7DMT. It's one of the last remaining quiet times. It's right before free dining starts.

We were there June 5-13, 2011. Super hot, humid and crowded. Not the ideal time for us to visit.

We will not go in July again as the Big Tour Groups drove us crazy.

We liked August for crowd levels; much, much, much better than July.

I would pick June over July every time.

July and August are worse as far as the heat humidity and rain, the crowds are worse as well and don't let up until late Aug.

You may want to try early June because some schools are still in session in the North. We went August 2012 and July 2014. I would never go in July. It was more crowded and too hot.

We were there from Memorial day until June 4th this past summer. The crowds were significantly lighter than they are in July (I've been in July.) The waterparks were virtually empty.

Trying to figure out the same thing here.

June isn't the ideal time for us to visit either but because of school, summer is all we got. We can pick June or July, as we return the first week in Aug.

This past year we went late July, returning the day before school went back on the 8th of Aug. I was thinking of going this year right when school gets out, May 21st or so. I am working to figure out if we want to go the day after school gets out and just avoid the parks on Memorial day or wait and go down ON Memorial day, starting our park time the next day. That puts us there for Gay Days and I don't have any issues with going then or taking DGD then. Unless it increases the crowds significantly. We managed the crowds in late July just fine, knowing when to zig when the rest zagged. I know what SWW does to HS but what does Gay Days do to the rest of the parks?

I am going the second week of June and hope that it isn't as bad (weather or crowds) as the peak summer season. In the future we're planning on going at the end of May (since our schools end before Memorial Day), but this year it's a combined trip with extended family so we had to wait until later.

I think early June would be good. Northern schools are not out until mid-late June. We went late Aug and I was surprised at the crowds. Though it would be slow, was defiantly not. Also was incredibly hot and humid. I would shoot for early June if I could.

Trying to stay away from gay days(have no problem personaly but will have a child with us).

If it helps to open your schedule at all- many of the people there FOR gay days are going to have children with them too. It's a family event for many.

(Plus, if you are bothered by that, just go to a different park than is on the event schedule.)
