Maybe its just me today

over on the community boards they are discussing what music "makes you gay" and other things that" make you gay". Maybe it is just me today , maybe I am just feeling a little persnickety but I really feel like their big laughs over what someone actually think is not funny at all. I think it just is dangerous and offensive. ok I am done ranting......maybe I should go find myself a nice cup of tea.......

I was looking at those threads too. I can say I found some of them pretty funny.

I couldn't help wondering about the real views of many of the posters on the thread. I mean sure anyone can be amused at the wacked out views of people who think soy is making people gay. But you just know that some of those folks who think the people making the soy connection are crazy are out there voting for anti-gay marriage amendments and all that.

I wonder how long this is going to take? The whole world becoming gay due to soy, I mean.

Is there a disproportionately large gay population in the Asian countries where soy has been used for far longer than it has here? Or is it a matter of our genes, unused to soy have dissolved into puddles of gay making alleles?

I read most of the threads, and found 95% of them harmless. I agree with one of the posters, its like those "you might be a redneck" jokes. As long as they remain clean attempts at humor, I'll continue to read.

Cedar Point finished up there new coaster early! It looks pretty good! They have amazing coasters! I have to admit, I wont ride them. I cant believe people get off the alive!! lol

I've been following the pull through via the internet, cant wait to ride it!

(For those of you not aware, a pull through is where they actually pull a train through the course of the ride to make sure it "clears" everything. Pretty interisting site, to watch a man pull a train through a coaster track with a rope!

And if you ever get the chance, you need to "get to the point"

Here is a pic of MF going through the pull through. They put the plywood in place to represent riders arms in the air. Pretty interisting test!

Nope we do not go to Tuscany, but I could not tell you why. I just never have! We are usually found at Donny’s on Polish Hill. We just moved back to Pgh a few years ago . Do you recommend it? What is it like?


OK back to my original post….I guess it was just me yesterday. Today I feel much better. I guess it would have been a different thread if it was over on these boards . If my friends and I were joking about it at home I guess I would think it was different because we are actually gay (and none of those things made us this way!!! Can you imagine!!!! ) . I still think I would have been flamed had I started a thread about rednecks or hunters or ……or ……or ……. Fill in the blank. ( wait, does flaming someone make you gay ? See i can play along too....)

I totally never meant to offend anyone with my age comment, I was just noting something that made more sense in my head than it did on screen ten minutes. What I was attempting to convey was that I was younger and to me it didn't seem so bad of a thread.

As for Tuscany, I like going there. It's where I hang out if I wanna feel classy and get an espresso...or if I don't feel like Pegasus drama.

I think EVERYONE that posts on this g/l board should post on the Community Board whenever they see anything that is disparaging to or about the gay/lesbian community. There is strength in numbers AND we just might teach folks something.

We ran that type of thread where I'm hangin' these days last week (musta been in the news) and had lots of fun with it because it was so absurd!!
But in all fairness to the OP, Lord help the person when I have one of those days when

I was just blown away when I learned from that thread that listening to Frank Sinatra makes you gay.

So that's what did it.

But since the whole family had been saturated with that music, I better look a little more closely at the next reunion--I'll bet I wasn't the only affected.
