Maybe I'm missing something.... why doesn't Disney ROFR everything?

I will say, that although there may not be a direct relationship, it does seem like OKW is a new hot property for DVD. I talked to my guide just over a week ago and he seemed to really push OKW--they are the new "cheap" direct option now that SSR is sold out. The guide said when they get points available in a certain UY they don't stick around very long.
.........

And yet according to DVCNews during April they sold fewer OKW points than BWV and only slightly more than BCV or VWL. And sold almost double HHI points compared to OKW.

Guides will say many things.

OKW was the 'hot' DVC property in 2010, when DVD lowered its direct price from $101 to $90. Over 100,000 OKW points were sold in the 12 months ending February 28, 2011 (see http://dvcnews.com/forum/showthread.php?7956-OKW-Sales-Data-for-12-Months). Even though OKW was still priced at $90 a point in early 2011, sales really dropped off, indicating to me that DVD's supply of points had been exhausted and it had little interest and/or ability to sell more OKW points at that time.

Since March 2011, DVD sales of OKW have averaged 2,844 points a month. Some time within the last year it raised OKW's price to $100 a point, which is only $5 less than SSR's price of $105. Now that SSR is, like OKW, officially "sold out", it will be interesting to see how OKW sales compare to SSR in the future months.
