In a previous post, after a reply from someone, I was under the impression that I would be able to make my FPs for the week were were staying offsite (the week before) when our ONSITE 60 day window opened (I was also REALLY hoping to be able to get a 7dmt fp for the rest of the group we are traveling with the first week). This would have made our offsite window around 53 days. However, I am making all of my passes this morning, and I am completely unable to book ANYTHING prior to our 60 day onsite window. I don't know if this is because it's in a different month, or if I just completely misunderstood what my capabilities would be. Help?

ETA: Going to spell it out so it's less confusing. We are going with a group of 24, staying offsite Dec. 24-31. We check in to AoA on Jan 1st. We are currently planning to do 4 park days PRIOR to the AoA check-in date, and the 3 remaining ticket days DURING the AoA stay. I cannot "scroll" my calendar right now, it will *only* show January (I need to get into December for the first 4 park days.)

Are your tickets part of a package for your onsite stay? If so, I think you might have to activate the tickets when you arrive first before you will be able to make FP for the first week offsite. I have one day offsite before my package starts and can't make a FP for that day and I go this month.

I think so? I booked through an independent TA because I was tired of making plans and having them get messed up (HUGE issues with rental houses). What's weird to me is that my tickets, according to MDE, expire on the 5th of January (the day after we check-out) but I'm not able to make a fastpass before Jan 1st, and it's a 7 day ticket. If I have to wait until December 2nd it's not the worst thing in the world, but I REALLY thought I could just knock it all out this morning.

And how would I "activate" a ticket? Use it? Because that seems crappy and would mean that I can't make ANY fastpasses for my other 4 park days until we GET there, which would amount to day-of FPs.

I could be wrong because I've never actually done this before and am figuring it out now too! But from my understanding, we would need to go to guest services when we arrive to have them activate them before our package starts. I'm within my 30 days and still can't make a FP for my one day offsite. If this is the case, then unfortunately you would have to wait until you arrive to make that first week of FP.

Hopefully someone else has some better news or a different way to make this work because I could use it too!

are you serious????!!!:sad::sad: So we are SOL for fastpasses for those 4 days until we get to Disney????

how in the HECK are we supposed to use a FREAKING 7 DAY TICKET IN 5 DAYS THEN???? Because in MDE it says our tickets expire on the 5th. Which means that Disney intends you to NOT use them before you check in. I'm seriously freaking out. Planning this trip has seriously been one disater after another.

Go to Guest Relations or a Ticket Window as soon as soon as you reach WDW and activate your tickets. Book FPs for those offsite park days.

So if we arrive in Orlando on Saturday afternoon, someone can go THAT DAY and activate them? I'm emailing my TA this morning because she said I would be able to make the offsite FPs 30 days out so I'm REALLY hoping that's still a possibility. Or I'm just gonna cry a lot today. I have been working on touring plans for 2 weeks. I nagged my in-laws to get tickets earlier so I could make their FPs for them (today) and now I can't even make my own.

There is no reason to check at 30 days. You do have a package and must wait until arrival. Your TA doesn’t know how “packaged” tickets are detrimental to booking FPs when offsite before onsite.

I booked a room using my dvc points for two friends in Dec and for some reason, even though they have tickets and a reservation linked, their 60 day window did not show up (still doesn’t show up) but I was able to go in and make FPs for them

It’s because their names must not be on the reservation. Only Profiles that match up with reservation names open up the booking.

You might not know, but i'll ask anyway. Is there a chance I could have her cancel everything EXCEPT the tickets so they are no longer "packaged" and re-book the room separately?

So there's a possible solution. I'm going to try to hold myself together here. Huge thank you for helping me with this.
