I have never been on a cruise before of any kind. I was wondering if the food is included when you do a Disney cruise, or do you have to pay for your meals? I hear people at work talking about going on cruises and their food was included with the price they pay. n I was wondering if the same holds true for a Disney cruise since I never heard it mentioned. Thanks in advance for the info...:yay:

Yes, indeedie! Food, drinks, and entertainment are all included. Exceptions: alcoholic drinks, room service sodas, sodas served to you around the ship (dining rooms excepted), snacks for the theaters are charged. However, there is a free drink station (sodas, etc) on Deck 9, unlike other cruise lines that will sell you a soda card for $35 - $45, usually dependent upon length of cruise.

Yes, all food is included in your cruise ticket, with the exception of a cover charge for the Palo restaurant, which is a adult only reservation needed restaurant on the top level of the ship. You do not have to eat there if you dont want to.
The disney ships have 3 main restaurants and one buffet style restaurant which is open for breakfast and I believe lunchtime as well. It is closed for everyone, BUT the children in the kids clubs for dinner. The counselors take the kids that will be in the kids club to the buffet for their dinner.
You also have FREE room service 24 hours a day and their menus are great!! You do tip the room serviced though according to how much you order. Usually a couple of dollars for a snack or light meal.
They also have a buffet on the 7 night cruises. Which has a pirate theme. They host the buffet up on top of the ship near the pools. They have things like giant turkey legs, asst cheescakes, chilis, cornbread etc. Like I say, it's a pirate theme. They have a pirate party nearby and light of fireworks from the smoke stack of the ship. It is really great. The food on the disney ships are really good! They have kids menu's at all the restaurants, with the exception of Palo's, since it is a adult only restaurant. I forgot to mention that if you make reservations for Palo, the service fee is/ or was a few years ago, is around $10 per person. It is worth the fee, and the view is wonderful!
Have a GREAT trip. You will definately love cruising Disney!!!!

I was on the 9/8/07 Western on the magic and Topsiders was open for dinner almost everynight as an optrion. We ate breakfast and lunch there but never the evening meal but it appears that it may be an options. Not to forget that there is Pizza, hot dogs, hambugers, chicken fingers and other otions around the goofey/mickey pool for dinning. I have never had an issue getting food on board the ship at any time. Lois

Just wanted to add that while there are children's menus kids are not restricted to them. They are free to order off of the adult menu if they prefer...no extra charge. We have found this is a great way to have our kids try new foods and after several cruises they are quite adventurous eaters, willing to try just about anything.

Don't forget the free ice cream near the pool and all of the yummy fresh fruit. I can't wait to try it.
