Mayan Shore Excursions from Progresso

We are booked on the Magic out of Galveston in late January. Our Port is Progresso. We want to do a Mayan ruins shore excursion we current have Chitin Itza with Cenote swim booked. I heard this one is more crowded and longer bus ride. Any recommendations? We have 3 adults and a teenager.

Chichen Itza is one of the 7 new wonders - up there with the likes of the Pyramids and Machu Pichhu. And Progresso is the best port to do this excursion from. The alternative would be to do the smaller ruins from Cozumel.
