Can anybody tell me how Maya Grill is?

My husband and I have reservations there on Sept. 7 and I was just curious what people thought of it... it doesn't seem to be one of the "popular choices" and I am begninning to wonder why.

Thanks in advance!!

We had a very nice meal there last week. We're just regular diners, not DDP.
We both had a glass of wine (they have a very nice pinot noir by the glass),
two salads, and we shared two appetizers-the seafood skillet and the crabmeat chalupa. They have wonderful breads, they serve along with dinner.

We really enjoyed our meal. It was filling, without being too much. I'd eat there again anytime.

I think people's main complaints are its' not "disney" enough. It's a beautiful resturaunt though, we had delicious food and the presentation of the food is georgeous!

People also seem to always recieve slow service there.

We did not experience this at all! We had a leisurely dinner on purpose but our waiter was always right there when we needed him. I absolutly reccomend this place!

I think because the menu is rather "mainstream" and it's sort of off the beaten path.
Earlier in it's "career" Maya had a much more interesting menu, and we used to go there often.
